Becoming a Young Ambassador for The King’s Trust: A New Chapter Begins

Becoming a Young Ambassador for The King’s Trust marks a huge milestone in my personal and professional journey. It is an honour to be chosen to represent not only the charity but also the many inspiring stories that come from young people across the UK. The role allows me to help and uplift others, whether that means inspiring future donors, encouraging new course attendees, or simply sharing how the Trust changes lives. This opportunity is more than a title. It is a platform to give back, pay it forward, and help open doors for others just as they were once opened for me.

My journey as a Young Ambassador began with an inspiring and energising first day of training at The King’s Trust Manchester location. I joined other newly appointed Young Ambassadors from across the North for a day focused on our shared mission and experiences. The training itself was empowering, particularly the public speaking workshop. As public speaking will be a big part of our roles, we had a deep dive into techniques and confidence building. For me, this felt like a natural space, as I have always been passionate about connecting with others through words and wanted to build on that strength. Being surrounded by people who are just as motivated to make a difference made the day feel both purposeful and full of promise.

This first training session is just the beginning. As I take on new opportunities, meet different people, and represent The King’s Trust at events, I will be sharing my journey here through blog posts and behind the scenes insights. Whether I am speaking to donors, engaging with young people, or collaborating with companies, I want to bring you along for the ride. My hope is that by opening this window into the work we do, others will be inspired to support, participate, or believe in what is possible with the right guidance and opportunity. This is my first chapter as a Young Ambassador and I cannot wait to see where it leads.
